If you are arriving at the airport, let us know your flight number and expected time of arrival. If you are arriving by train, tell us your arrival time and if you would like us to arrange your transportation. We can arrange for a car to pick you up and bring you to the Chandelao. Travel time is about 60 minutes. The price is Rs. 1,000/- for up to 3 people and luggage and Rs. 1,500/- for up to 6 people.
Take the main road towards Jaipur (Route 112) from Jodhpur 35 km east to the village of Binawas. Turn right in Binawas at the sign to Chandelao Garh and drive 3 km south. If you reach Kaparda you have missed the turn off to Chandelao. At the village bear left and you will see the Garh straight ahead of you.
From the Jaipur direction take the road to Jodhpur and watch out for Binawas. Turn left at the sign for Chandelao Garh.
Chandelao is located 290 km from Jaipur; 310 km from Jaisalmer; 280 km from Udaipur; 120 km from Khimsar; 150 km from Pushkar.
It is possible to take a taxi from Jodhpur to Chandelao Garh. The cost is negotiable and will be a minimum of Rs. 1,000/-.
For a real taste of India, the adventurous can travel by bus. There are 3 buses per day scheduled to leave Jodhpur for Chandelao at 10:00 am, 2:30 pm and 6:00 pm but they often leave up to 30 minutes late. Buses leave from the bus station on the left side of the Banar Road, about 2.4 km from the Paota Choraha (roundabout) past the vegetable market. Ask a local for directions. The bus trip takes about 1 hour 10 minutes and costs Rs. 20/-. Ask the conductor to tell you when you reach Chandelao and walk 200 meters to the Garh.
